Cycling Vietnam to Cambodia in Aid of Charity CAFT

We are excited, nervous and so very proud of our Operations Director, Nicky, for taking on the huge challenge of cycling from Vietnam to Cambodia for the fabulous ‘Children’s Adventure Farm Trust’ (CAFT) this week.

The charity provides memorable breaks for terminally ill, disabled and disadvantaged children in a 17th-century farmhouse, with surrounding land where they can play, laugh and enjoy themselves.

Nicky’s latest quest will take her 420k across Southeast Asia in 38-degree heat and at best, as a non-cycler, it will be an exhaustive and draining experience that is sure to push her to the limits. It will be hot, humid and very tough but we are fully behind Nicky every stage of the way.

Vietnam and Cambodia are two very different countries. Nicky’s cycling adventure will take her along narrow jungle paths, country roads, busy cities streets and tranquil rice fields. The route takes you to areas that tourists rarely visit, through remote villages and winding roads, so the cyclists will have the chance to meet the local children and families alike. The spectacular finish is the iconic temple complex of Angkor Wat.

After learning more about the charity, the team can fully understand why Nicky would want to put herself through such a gruelling challenge and will be looking forward to regular updates throughout the ten-day expedition.

All funds raised go directly to the Children’s Adventure Farm Trust. If you would like to support Nicky and CAFT, then please visit her Just Giving page to make a donation.
